Fedon Kalyoncu was born on August 19, 1946 in Istanbul. The uncle of singer Fedon, who is a tavern music commentator, is Yeşilçam player Nubar Terziyan.
Singer Fedon, who dropped out of Zoğrafyon Greek High School in 1962, worked in various jobs in the cinema industry between 1962 and 1972.
He opened Zorba Taverna in 1987 and started singing in 1991. In the same year, he released his first album called For You. He became the first person to sing in Greek on TRT.
From his marriage to Eda Kalyoncu, a daughter named Natali and a son named Theo were born.
