Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the Motor Land Vehicles statistics for April 2022. Accordingly, 118 thousand 974 vehicles were registered to traffic in April.
Of the vehicles registered to the traffic, 43.6% were automobiles, 36.7% motorcycles, 11.3% pickup trucks, 5.1% tractors, 2.4% trucks and 0.5%. bus, 0.3 percent minibus and 0.1 percent special purpose vehicles. In the said month, the number of vehicles registered to traffic increased by 21.4% compared to the previous month and by 16.1% compared to the same month of 2021.
Compared to the previous month, the number of vehicles registered to traffic in April increased by 73.4 percent in motorcycles, 13.2 percent in tractors, 4.1 percent in automobiles, 3 percent in buses, 2 percent in pickup trucks, and decreased by 32 percent in minibuses and 11.8 percent in trucks. There was no change in the special purpose vehicle.
In April, compared to the same month of the previous year, the number of registered vehicles increased by 94.3 percent in motorcycles, 12.6 percent in buses, 9.1 percent in special purpose vehicles and 0.2 percent in trucks, while it increased by 55.8 percent in minibuses, 6.8 percent in automobiles, and 0,2 percent in trucks. 3 percent in pickup trucks and 1.3 percent in tractors.
The total number of registered vehicles was 25 million 594 thousand 663
As of the end of April, 54.2% of the registered vehicles were automobiles, 16.3% were pick-up trucks, 15% were motorcycles, 8% were tractors, 3.5% were trucks, and 1.9% were minibuses. 0.8 percent were buses and 0.3 percent special purpose vehicles.
888 thousand 543 vehicles were transferred
Of the vehicles transferred(1) in April, 68.1% was automobile, 15.5 percent was pickup truck, 8.5 percent was motorcycle, 3.1 percent was tractor, 2.4 percent was truck, and 1 percent. Minibuses made up 0.7%, buses 0.5% and special-purpose vehicles 0.2%.
51 thousand 926 cars were registered to the traffic
19.1 percent of the cars registered to traffic in April were Renault, 11 percent were Volkswagen, 9.8 percent were Fiat, 8.3 percent were Toyota, 6.7 percent were Hyundai, and 5.8 percent were. In the January-April period, compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of vehicles registered to traffic decreased by 15.7 percent and became 359 thousand 344, while the number of vehicles deregistered from traffic decreased by 10.8 percent to 13 thousand 443. Thus, the total number of vehicles in traffic increased by 345 thousand 901 in the January-April period.
69.8 percent of the 178 thousand 47 cars registered to the traffic in the January-April period are gasoline fueled, 17 percent diesel fueled, 10.7 percent electric or hybrid, 2.5 percent LPG fueled. As of the end of April, 37.4 percent of the 13 million 882 thousand 587 cars registered to the traffic were diesel fuel, 35.6% LPG, 26 percent gasoline fueled, 0.8 percent electric or hybrid. The rate of automobiles whose fuel type is unknown(2) is 0.3 percent.
